The KIARA dress sews up a treat- as all Farbenmix patterns do.
Seen here in Lillestoff.
KIARA is in German, but don't let that scare you off- you can easily sew this cute pattern up! I've put some tips up here to help, and as always, if you get stuck ask me!
Tips for KIARA.
Your pattern pieces are:
1. Vorderteil, mitte ( middle front) Cut 1 on fold
2. Vorderteil, seite, ( front sides) Cut 2
3. Rucktenteil, mitte ( middle back) Cut 1 on fold
4. Rucktenteil, seite, ( back sides) Cut 2
5. Armel (sleeves) Cut 2
You'll also need a neckband piece and you are given a chart for the measures- for Bundchenware ( ribbing).
Halsbundchen (neckband) 4cm wide and as long as the size you choose in chart indicates ie- size 86/92 = 30cm .
Armbundchen (armband) for short sleeve option- again 4cm wide x chosen size ie 86/92cm = 15cm.
Be sure and take note of all your pattern markings, single and double notches etc help you to match up your panels correctly. Once panels are sewn up - press them well with iron, then do topstiching- press again. Then proceed to sew shoulders, neckband, sleeves and sides. It's a really quick sew once you finish the panels.
